Monthly support service

Since December 1, 2021, we have been offering a brand new collaboration CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS (CLSC Cowansville-du-Sud) so that the Éveil de Brome-Missisquoi offers monthly support services on the Brome-Missisquoi territory for a ratio of 30 to 35 users annually.

Monthly support services (SBNI-non-intensive basic support) are intended for people who need occasional help to maintain what they have learned and promote the development of their autonomy. The person may need help and support in an exceptional situation or major life changes. Interventions are in the person’s living environment, or in other places that are significant to them.

A few examples of the support services offered as part of a light support follow-up:

  • Occasional help and accompaniment (e.g. appointment for change of medication)
  • Maintenance of achievements for domestic life activities (AVD) and activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Prevention of relapses during psychosocial crisis situations (addictions, job loss, breakup, etc.)
  • Occasional support for the maintenance of significant life activities (leisure, volunteering, work, studies, etc.)
  • Occasional support for updating a life project
  • Support and maintenance of the social network and maintaining links with loved ones
