L’Éveil de Brome-Missisquoi offers workshops called Pathways to Recovery, led by a certified mental health peer support worker. These are offered to a closed group of 8 people over a period of 10 to 12 weeks. The purpose of these workshops is to help participants situate themselves in their recovery and better understand the steps and obstacles they will have to overcome according to the recovery steps grid.
During these workshops, several themes are discussed such as: hope, the courage to take risks, confronting your fears, self-stigmatization, motivation and self-responsibility, personal strengths and those of our environment, cross detours and roadblocks (obstacles to recovery), etc. These workshops are offered in a safe and supportive environment mutual aid between the participants. Throughout the workshops, we promote the participation of each person, respect for each person’s experience, values and vision.
