Pathways to Recovery

L’Éveil de Brome-Missisquoi offers workshops called Pathways to Recovery, led by a certified mental health peer support worker. These are offered to a closed group of 8 people over a period of 10 to 12 weeks. The purpose of these workshops is to help participants situate themselves in their recovery and better understand the steps and obstacles they will have to overcome according to the recovery steps grid.

During these workshops, several themes are discussed such as: hope, the courage to take risks, confronting your fears, self-stigmatization, motivation and self-responsibility, personal strengths and those of our environment, cross detours and roadblocks (obstacles to recovery), etc. These workshops are offered in a safe and supportive environment mutual aid between the participants. Throughout the workshops, we promote the participation of each person, respect for each person’s experience, values ​​and vision.

The Pathways to Recovery workshops are designed especially for you. It talks about your ideas, your thoughts and your emotions. These workshops will help you to define your desires, your values, your hopes and your deepest beliefs. The path you are about to embark on should reflect your individuality. For these workshops to be effective, and allow you to move forward, flourish and grow, be honest and loyal to yourself. Staying true to your “inner self” and staying authentic will help you learn about yourself, where you’re from, where you are now, and where you really want to go in the future.
